Nottingham University CD and Record Library
has thousands of CDs for you to borrow. We cover a broad and eclectic selection of musical types and buy new CDs on a regular basis. Come and find us in the Portland Building on weekday lunchtimes and Thursday evenings.
We currently have over 8000 CDs available to members, as well as about 5000 LPs and 12” singles. Search for something specific using the box on the right, or take a look at our recent purchases or our full back-catalogue.
Our committee love to chat about music, so ask them to recommend something, or check out their favourites on the whiteboard. You can pick up your copy of The Mic (Nottingham University’s Official Music Magazine), and have a thumb through the other music magazines we keep in the library. You might discover something great playing on our stereo and you can always try before you borrow at our listening post. If you have any feedback or suggestions, drop us a line.
Summer Opening
We will be open as usual until Friday 13th June. During the University’s summer vacation we will be open Wednesday lunchtimes (1pm – 2pm) only, starting from the 18th of June.
